So we got our Escalade on Saturday!  We got a great deal on it and we got lucky!  This is Matt's dream car, he's talked about owning an Escalade for years.  It's the exact color he wanted and it's fully loaded.  He's been looking at cars for the past two weeks online and each time he found something someone else had already bought it.  He just happened to get online last week at 1 am and found this one.  He emailed the dealership and asked what he needed to do to hold it.  He put $100 down and we went to look at it Saturday.  It's a 2004, it has 45,000 miles on it and is in tip top shape.  The previous owners bought it brand new in 2004 for $61,000.  They are an older couple and took very well care of this vehicle.  They traded it in for another Cadillac a couple weeks ago.  While we were at the dealership doing all of the paperwork 2 people came in wanting to buy it.  One person was going to pay cash for it, but luckily it was already ours.  The carfax report states that 5% of cars are in this good of shape for the year 2004.  We have all of the original paperwork and all of the maintenance reports to go with it.  It has a navigation system, sunroof, dvd player with two headsets, we can program the seats to recognize whether I'm driving or Matt's driving.  Plus a ton more that we need to read about.  We need to buy another base for Stella's carseat and another carseat for Olivia before we can drive it as a family.  We're going to preserve it as much as we can and use the Equinox to do things around town.  When we go to my parents or anywhere as far as needing more seating or for traveling we will take the Escalade.  I've not driven it yet, I've only sat in it...its going to take me a while to get used to it.  It's HUGE!
