Matt called me yesterday to tell me he had something important to discuss with me. He didn't want to talk about it over the phone just then so I got a little worried. First thought that came to my mind was he wanted to try to expand our family sooner rather than later...no such luck!
He called me later on after he left work (he went to the UC game after work). He told me he was able to talk about whatever it was. He told me he got an e mail from management at Fidelity saying he won a trip! Since he was in the top 10 of the country or something he is eligible for different things. In the e mail it said he won a trip for 2 with a list of places we can choose to go like Jamaica, Atlantis in the Bahamas, Cabo San Lucas Mexico, Puerto Rico...just a slew of AWESOME places to go. Well, a little while later he received another e mail saying Sorry! We sent you the wrong information! He still won a trip, but its only in the continental U.S., which I am not complaining I think its FABULOUS! So, he got 2 round trip tickets to wherever we want to go for 4 days/3 nights with hotel etc...
We have to use it by November so we are thinking of places we want to go. I am thinking Key West, Florida...Matt's thinking Vegas. He's been there a few times, I've never been. But, I would love to just relax on the beach for a few days...we'll see. We also have to decide if we will take Olivia or not...Since we all know what I went thru in September by NOT going to Providence, I don't know if I will be ready to leave her for a few days this year. We'll see. We have awhile before we decide anything.

Cool!! I think you should go to Vegas. It is soooooo much fun. I don't like to gamble and I still love it there. You can see awesome shows, great restaurants, etc. If you wait until later in the year you might be more ready to leave Olivia too, and she might be better about you leaving! But, she's also little enough that you could take her on the plane without buying a ticket for her. And, if that's the case - you can take me with you and I'll babysit while you go out :)

I love vegas too and have been 12 times but I used to live 4 hours from there. We have flown twice since living here though.
Shawn LOVES Vegas! I have never been but he has always wanted to take me there! I hear good things about it from everyone who has gone!
I vote for the beach. I have never been to Vegas but I think you will end up taking Olivia and it is a more family friendly vacation! Can't you just see her sitting on the beach in a little sun hat playing the sand! Good for you guys, no matter where you go it should be fun!
how fantastic! i loved vegas when brian and i went this summer, but i agree with cheryl, it's not a kid friendly vacation. so, if it's the two of you, go with vegas. if it's 3 of you, go for key west. wherever you end up going, have a great time, though!

Ok, I would probably choose Key West. I don't know. We've never been to Vegas. I've been through it, but never to it. haha.
Do you want busy, crowded, loud? Or do you want quiet, serene, and romantic?
