Googly Eyes

We went to Olivia's friend Riley's birthday party a couple of weeks ago at Totter's Otterville.  The kids all got goody bags and these silly glasses were in the goody bag. 

We have been enjoying the nicer weather lately.  Well, today isn't so nice, but the past few days have been wonderful.  We usually spend atleast a couple of hours outside.  We made a kite at the library on Friday and it was windy enough on Saturday that we were able to fly it.  I am surprised how well it works!  Neither myself or Matt is very crafty and while we were making the kite Matt even made a comment saying we will have to pay someone to help her with her crafts once she is in school.  So, yes, we are very happy it turned out and it works so well.

Our basement is coming right along!  Hopefully it will be finished before May 1st, so Matt can have friends over to watch a Pay Per View Boxing thing.  My dad is working on the bar...he has the actual frame of the bar up, now he is building the shelves that will be underneath it for storage.  We picked out corian for the top of the bar, but we still need to actually order it and have the contractors come out and measure it.  However, we are waiting until my dad is closer to have the actual bar built before we do that.

We also picked out new furniture for Olivia's room.  It's so pretty.  I love it!  She will look like royalty sleeping on the 4 post canopy bed....if she sleeps in it like she says she will. She is in our bed every night right now, so we will see how she does.  We are having new carpet installed upstairs, so we are going to order her furniture next week, but have the furniture store hold her set for us until the new carpet is installed.  We don't want to have to move furniture twice.
