Our original plan was to go to the zoo today. We got up early and headed out the door a little before 10 thinking we wouldn't have any issues with getting in the zoo. WRONG! We drove around for 45 minutes looking for a parking spot only to be told all parking was full except handicap parking. If it was that busy, we really didn't want to be there. So, we went to Parky's Farm instead. When we pulled into Parky's parking lot we saw about 6 buses parked and the parking lot was almost full. We had already promised Olivia the zoo today and when that didn't pan out we really didn't want to tell her we weren't going to Parky's either. We went in and it wasn't as bad as the parking lot looked. A lot of the kids were playing on the big play area or in the inside part. We did neither of those and at one point had the entire petting area to ourselves. Oh and there are two baby goats named Ariel and Belle!!! Ariel is Olivia's favorite princess and Belle is mine, so it was perfect!! Olivia rode the horses twice and loved it. We wish we would have planned a little better, but it turned out to be a really nice time. Next time we are going to pack our lunch and eat in one of the covered areas. Not necessarily the area where you can reserve, but the covered part by the water. Afterwards we went to Hofbrahaus and Olivia did the chicken dance! We got pictures of her dancing too. We walked along the purple people bridge and got Grater's. It was a great day!

Yeah Parky's is great. I love the pics you can get there and yours are great.

That is a constant problem with our zoo. The guy at the front said that he answers more questions and complaints about the zoo being crowded than anything else. I told him that they should not charge members parking because it is usually too full. The only way to get in ther eon the weekend is to go 30 mins before opening time. The buses still get first parking but then you stand a chance.

6 Fridays ago, we sat at the block by the zoo when they opened but 6 cars back and they were full before we got there. I was furious. How is that possible? He said that the school buses get to come early and that day they had 50 buses there had at least that reserved to come. CRAZY.

Olivia is such a sweet doll baby. She is going to love being a big sister some day and able to show another baby all the ropes.

Have a good rest of the week Carrie. Can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks.
