Olivia had her 2 year check up on Thursday. We saw a different doctor than we have in the past. The doctor we usually see was unavailable, which was fine with me. I REALLY like this doctor too, so atleast I know I have a couple doctors I like whenever she is sick. Anyways...she is 24 pounds and 33 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile for both. The doctor said she is not too small. He said she is very proportioned and is perfect. I was very happy to hear him say this. I am always worried she doesn't weigh enough. He said she is petite, and I think she will probably stay petite. I told him she is potty trained and he asked me about her vocabulary and her fine motor skills etc. He said she is right on target for everything if not ahead on some things.
I talked to him about the dreaded bottle. He told me something different than her other doctor. He said he is fine with her still taking a bottle. He said it sounds to him its a bonding thing between me and her that she likes. He said as long as I am fine with it, to not rush her off of it if I don't want to. He said if it becomes a behavioral issue (i.e. she throws a fit, wants me to pick her up and asks for a bottle) he said to take her off it. He said it won't become an issue until she turns 3 because then there can be problems with teeth etc. So, that made me feel better. I honestly like giving her a bottle (she wants me to hold it for her) I like the time it gives us to be close and I think she will give it up when she is ready. She takes one usually 3 times a day after she eats. Sometimes she takes less depending on what we are doing. The doctor also said to me that our children grow up too fast anyway and if this is something we want to do he is fine with it.
I'll be back later to post....I have some more things to talk about.

i'm glad she is doing well. we worry so much, it is nice to have a doctor say they are doing great!
I am glad that her appt went so well and she is growing well.
Doctors vary so much that I am not surprised that you found one that agreed with your bottle postition.
Although doctors are obivously trained, so much of their work is their opinion.
Call me tomorrow when you get your pics!
