Bathtime Lessions 101

Tonight Matt tried giving Olivia a bath for the very first time. Well, it lasted about 3 seconds and he was asking me what to do! He had the water running and asked me if it was too hot. After I got a 3rd degree burn on my hand because it was steaming hot I turned the water to the coolest setting to balance out the hotness. Good thing I was only a room away when he attempted his first bath giving session. I then decided maybe I should show him how to give her a bath before he goes head first into giving her one all by himself. He is now in the bathroom watching her play with her bath toys. Oh, nope, nevermind...duty calls again. He just came out telling me she wants out...I told him "Get her out" and he asked "Then what?" I said "Dry her off". He said "With what?" I said "The towel I got out for her". He then proceded to give me a dirty look (not really) and walked away. Is it really that hard????

Honey, welcome to a mother's world......Matt can't help it, he's a man!!! They are all like that! ha It doesn't come naturally to them like it does for us.

I agree with Crystal! Men don't know what they are doing!! I still don't think Gary has EVER given either of the kids a bath!!

I have to admit that my husband is awesome at bathing the kids. He had 11 nieces and nephews when we got married, so he had lots of practice!
Maybe you make him illustrated instructions!

i think the difference is that moms know we have to do it, so we figure it out. men know that someone else will do it, so they let us because they're secretly scared to death.
unless you have triplets, then it's every parent for themselves!
