A Post

It feels like its been a long time since I have posted! I really haven't had the time, but I also haven't had much to post about. We are almost always outside these days with the weather being so nice. We have a park in our neighborhood that has a walking trail that connects us to another neighborhood. The connected neighborhood has another park that has jungle gyms, swings, and picnic tables. Our park doesn't have any of that, yet. Its a long walk, but we walk it. Its nice to pack up the stroller with a couple snacks and head to the park. That usually takes up most of the morning then we come home and its time for Olivia's nap. Its been fun!!

We (well, I) have decided to redecorate our house! I am going to do it room by room and I don't want to move to the next room until the previous one is finished. So, I am starting with our kitchen. Our floorplan on Trademark Properties (Gary's company) website says "optional island", so I want to start by putting an island in our kitchen. I did some pricing over the weekend and have a good idea of how I want the island. I want it big enough so we can put a couple of chairs so we can eat on it. Luckily Gary said we can order in our countertops to match. I also want to buy a new area rug for underneath the kitchen table. Matt and I always butt heads on our decorating and I always give in. I am tired of being unhappy with how things are decorated, so I am going to pick out a new area rug without him! I put the old one we had in the basement because I would rather have nothing underneath the table than what we had!!! We also don't have any knobs on our kitchen cabinets and I picked out a style I like. Matt's not thrilled with the price of the knobs, but I really like them and I am going to get them!!!

Saturday we went to my friend Tabitha's college graduation party. She got her bachelor in arts from The College of Mt. St. Joe. She deserved the party, she was in school for 11 years!!!!!! It was a lot of fun. Her in-laws threw the party for her at their farm in Oxford. They had hay rides, a pig roast, corn hole, bocca ball and the best part....bunnies! They had 7 bunnies in a huge cage that we were able to walk in and play with them. The food was really good too! It was a lot of fun and I am so happy the weather turned out to be beautiful.

That's about it! Have a good one!

what a fantastic way to spend a morning with your daughter. She has to love that. It is the best of everything really according to the "experts", exercise, tv free time, time with mommy, meeting the outdoors, cost effective...everything. You go mommy!!

Why don't you redecorate my house first?!?!? Or, should I say decorate mine not RE-decorate, since I have no real decorations in place right now, it's such a hodgepodge!! THe park sounds like fun!

I feel ya on the clashing with the hubby on decorating thing! Shawn likes ugle retro pazley stuff from the 60's and 70's and I love contemporary decorating.......we have both going on and I hate it! ha Most of my house is undecorated though since we just moved in 4 months ago......it's expensive to decorate so needless to say, we don't have it decorated yet! ha
