Vitamin D
I started Olivia on Vitamin D milk today! We waited a little longer to give it to her since she was sick. Now that she is back to par, its time. We are going to supplement here and there with the formula only because we still are having difficulty getting her to eat! She does well with pureed food, but whe it comes to table food or anything with any consistency she gags and pulls it out. I discussed this with her doc the other day and he referred us to the Feeding Team at Children's Hospital. I am hesitant to do that only because she is just one and I really don't want to put her thru unnecessary tests. I contacted the team with my concerns and I am waiting a response. After I talk with someone I will decide what we will do.

I am sure the feeding team will give you tips on how to get her to eat different things.
The feeding team at Children's is great!! All they do is ask you lots and lots of questions and then they work with her on eating different foods...it's a therapy. I know many moms who have had to take their kids there and they do sometimes start this young. She's soo flippin cute!!!
You know, I was thinking. Maybe she just needs the team to work with her on swallowing. Since she likes the taste of things but she won't swallow anything pureed, maybe she has gagged or choked a little before and is afraid to swallow things.
That was supposed to say, since she WON'T swallow anything that is NOT pureed!
yeah they will be helpful
I've heard not so good things about the feeding team, that's why I am hesitant. I talked to a friend who's son had to do it, but he was older (3) and her friend also had to go thru it and they basically told her friend that she didn't know how to care for her daughter and her daughter was "failing to thrive"
I told you what I think on the phone. I don't think anyone is going to think you are a bad mother either way though!
