One year ago today, my due date, I went into labor! I woke up at 1:08 a.m. with a strange feeling radiating from my back and all the way around my belly. I wasn't sure what it was, but my feeling was early labor. Sure enough my contractions came about every 18 minutes then around 6:30 a.m. they were around 12 minutes apart. I called my sister and my mom as soon as I knew they would be up getting ready for work. It was such an exciting day...well, sort of!
I called my doctor's office at 9 a.m. and told his nurse I was in labor and my doctor told me to go to the hospital whenever I felt it was necessary. We waited at home all day/afternoon until my contractions were about 7 minutes apart. My mom and sister called me ALL DAY LONG! My phone would ring about every 10 minutes and it was one of the two of them! They just wanted me to get to the hospital because a snow storm was coming. I finally gave in and around 4:30 pm me, Matt, and my mother in law went to hospital.
My family met us there and unfortunately I was only 2 cm dialated when I arrived at the hospital. My doctor, knowing it was my due date, came and broke my water around 7:30 pm. That REALLY intensified my contractions to the point my toes would curl! We were all thinking Olivia would make her debut around midnight or so, but she had other plans...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIL O!!!!
Oh my goodness - I so remember waiting around your hospital room for what felt like FOREVER!! Sleeping on the floor and then waiting outside your door listening while you were pushing! I can't believe it's been a year already.
