Olivia's Newest Tricks

Olivia has been doing several new things in the past couple of weeks! I got a video of her this morning walking, so I will download that when I get a minute. She walked all the way down our hall lastnight and across the kitchen today! Its so funny to see her since she's so short! She claps her hands as she is walking because she knows she is doing something good!

She pat a cakes all the time now too! She'll look at me and say "Pa" (pat a cake) so we do it together. She also waves bye bye and plays peek a boo...thats her favorite! She'll take anything she can and put it over her eyes and I have to act like she's lost! She has also learned how to hold a telephone to her ear. Its backwards a lot of times, but she says "Ho" (hello) or she'll take whatever she can lift to her ear and act like she's talking! She took my hair dryer yesterday and did it! Its quite amusing. She's so smart and picks up on things so quickly.

She had her 9 month check up today. She weighs 16 lbs and is 27 inches long! Her ped. asked me if she had started pulling herself up yet I said yes and he asked me if she crawls I said yes. I told him she started walking and he said "Oh, with a push along toy?" I said No, all by herself! He said she is advanced! She got a finger prick to test her iron and its good. He told me I can give her people food too. Things that are small and bland tasting of course like pasta, cheese, yogurt along with her baby foods. He also said I can introduce her to a sippy cup and juice. I haven't done it yet because I didn't want to! I guess I will try it sometime soon.
