Well it just goes to show you learn something new everyday. I bought these corn dogs today and I was really confused when I bought them because it says "Beef" on the box. I always thought corn dogs were made from pig. Everytime I ate hot dogs I have always thought it was from a pig not a cow. So, with my confusion I called my parents to ask them what is a hot dog made from...pig or cow? Was I eating a pig or was I eating a cow? They weren't home so I left a message telling them the situation. I just wanted to make sure I was actually eating a corn dog with a hotdog in it, not a beef dog. My mom called me back laughing at me. It was a serious question. I honestly have been worried about them ever since I bought them today. I thought I was eating a pig, not a cow. The word "Beef" really threw me. If that word wasn't on the box I could have gone about my day thinking I have always ate pig hot dogs, not cow hot dogs. So, now I know when I eat hot dogs I am not eating a pig, but the wiener of a cow.

Oh Carrie you really crack me up!! You can get turkey dogs too!
Okay, so it really is from a cow? Did it taste like a hot dog?
ok, regular "wieners" have pork, chicken and turkey in them and then there are beef franks which are different. I don't really know what the taste difference is, we usually buy wieners. Hope that helps!!!
I'm sorry, I am more confused now than before.
You can buy hotdogs that are made from pork (pig) or you can buy beef ones and like Cheryl said, you can even buy turkey hot dogs. The regular weiners like Kahns weiners are pork, usually they are all pork unless it specifically states that they are beef or turkey. It's just like you can buy ground turkey instead of ground beef or you can buy turkey bacon instead of real pork bacon. The stuff made with turkey is supposed to be healthier because it has less fat. HOpe this helps you understand you silly girl!
Oh my gosh! Okay, I know because i am the queen of the "all beef hotdog". I buy all beef hotdogs for my family (usually) because they are not made of interest parts of the other animals but purely from a cow. They are better for you and they always cost more. Our son's doctor told us if you HAVE to feed your kids a hotdog, pay the extra for an all beef hotdog.
It said it on the package because it is a big selling point.
I think they taste amazing and they are my favorite.
Oh my goodness, Carrie - you crack me up. You can get all different kinds of hot dogs - pork, turkey, chicken, beef, combination. If you read the package it will tell you what it is made from.
haha! it sounds like everyone straightened it out for you!
Enjoy your "wiener of a cow". haha
