Kids Playing Ball

As I was reading blogs, I saw 3 kids outside on my driveway playing baseball. I didn't pay much attention at first because they were towards the end of the driveway. Then they started inching closer to our house. I heard the ball hit our garage door so then I started to get angry. The one child's father is cutting his grass and sees what is going on. They then started inching even closer to our house and I could just picture a ball flying thru a window. I was seriously getting up out of the chair to tell them to get off the driveway. Then I heard the dad say to them "Don't get so close to the house or throw the ball towards the house, you'll break a window" I must say, I am impressed. So now the kids are back down towards the end of the driveway, actually now I don't see them at all. I am glad the dad said something to them instead of me having to be the grouchy, mean lady! Now all I have to do is hope they didn't dent the garage door!

It's definitely not mean to say something if they are actually hitting your house with the ball, now that's rude. Good for the dad to get on his kids! I am always watching out the window at Daws when he is outside playing so I alway know what he's doing but the other parents of Daws' friends don't do that and that's where the problem lies......parents need to still keep an eye on their kids even when they are old enough to play outside. Daws is only allow to be where I can see him out the window and he's not allowed in people's houses execpt for Ryan next door and that's with my permission each time.

It boggles my mind that Dawson's friends are outside all day long and in our house and everything and I never once see or hear their parents check on them..........they are older (12 years old) but still need to be checked on! Geesh!

i don't care if they are one inch on, you have the right to tell them to move it along. You shoudl go out and take a pic of them carrie so that if it has a dent you have proof. i have seen judge judy...you need proof of which kids were there
