6 Years

We celebrated Olivia's 6th birthday last Sunday.  I honestly don't know where the last six years have gone, but what is really crazy is I "met" all of you 6 years ago!  We had her birthday party at Color Me Mine.  It's a ceramic painting store, and all of the girls had a lot of fun.  Each girl got to pick out a ceramic piece and they painted them.  Olivia loves painting and doing crafts, so it was a perfect party for her.  We had ordered a cake from the bakery we have always used.  They were going to do a Barbie cake and we provided our own barbie.  A week before her party I received a phone call telling me they went out of business!! I was a little panicked, but with the power of Facebook, I found a new person to do her cake.  She did a wonderful job and I will definitely use her again.  The cake was strawberry with fresh strawberries in it.  It was really good!

Olivia had her 6 year check up on the 15th.....she is a petite little thing....she weighs 36 pounds and she is 42" tall!! She's in the 5th & 7th percentiles.  Her doctor said she is trending to be about 5'1" fully grown :) She may hit a growth spurt and she might make it to 5'5", but we will see!!!

2 weeks before her birthday she decided she wanted her ears pierced.  She has gone back and forth for the past year on whether she wanted to go through with it or not.  One day she woke up and said to me "I want to get my ears pierced today".  I have always told her whenever she was ready I would take her to get them pierced.  So, that same day in the afternoon we went to the mall and she got her ears pierced!  She did such a great job.  She didn't flinch or cry.  She's very happy she got them pierced and she is looking forward to changing them in about 5 more weeks.
