Yesterday we went to the doctor for Olivia's 1 year check up. She didn't receive her shots since she's been sick. After talking things over with her doctor we decided to take her to the hospital to get iv fluids. He gave us the option of taking her home and do what we've been doing and it would be longer before she felt better. Or, take her to the hospital and get the iv to get her hydrated. Matt dropped us off around noon and we left lastnight around 6:30. It was a long day! Olivia slept the entire day again ad I sat in a chair holding her practically all day long! I am so sore! I took a couple naps, but it wasn't great sleep.
When they put the iv in she screamed and hollered and kicked. It was awful, but I knew it was for her own good. They did bloodwork aand it came back fine. I had to put on her a baby hospital gown! It was too cute.
I am feeling better. I didn't eat anything, but a little soup that Matt brought me to eat at the hospital. I hope I feel like eating more today. Olivia is on Pedialyte for now. I am going totry and give her yogurt in a little while. The nurse said milk is the last thing I want to give her. She seems to be feeling a little better. She's starting to talk again and point at things. She smiled for the first time lastnight since Saturday. I just want my happy baby back!!!
She weighs 16 lbs. 15 oz and is 28 inches long. She probably lost a pound from being sick. She's in the 2 percentile for weight and 71 percentile for height.

I'm so glad you and lil O are feeling better!!! I do find that experiences like that make you really see how much you love your kids......when they hurt, we hurt. I hope she's your happy girl today!
I was so worried. I am glad she is okay. That was very mature of you to take her in when you were given the choice not to. You did the right thing.
She is so tiny.
I'm glad that you were able to come home yesterday and she didn't have to spend the night. Hopefully you will all be feeling better today.
