Yesterday was a fun day...well, sort of. It started out fun and ended fun. I got up early and met my sister at her house and we went to get a pedicure. She had an appointment for her hair to be cut and highlighted too. She had her pedicure first and I sat and talked with her then when she was finished I had my pedicure while she got her hair cut and highlighted. Afterwards we went back to her house where our parents were watching our kids. We hung out there for a little while and then I went back to my parents house.
Matt and I had a surprise 30th birthday party we went to lastnight. Matt was out golfing with Chris (the birthday boy) and a bunch of his friends while I hung out at my parents. Matt and I were part of the whole getting Chris out of the house scenario. See, a lot of our friends moved away just recently. It seems like all of a sudden everyone moved at once. 3 of them moved to Indianapolis, 1 couple moved to Toledo and another to Findlay. So, its not real far, but we literally were together pretty much every weekend the past year or so and to not be able to hang out all the time kinds of stinks. So, anyways, we needed an excuse or reason why everyone would be coming into town. Matt came up with the idea that I have a "jewelry party" so that way Chris thought all the wives were coming to town for my party and the husbands went golfing for the day then everyone was to go to Chris and Heather's in the evening. About a month ago Matt, Chris, Heather and myself went to dinner and during dinner I said something about having a party. Chris totally bought the whole thing!
So, yesterday I was planning on getting to Heather's around 5:30 to hang out with her and a few friends before everyone else would arrive. I was loading up the car, had Olivia in her carseat and I looked down at my tire and it was really low. Matt put air in the tire a couple weeks ago, we both thought it just needed air. My dad looked at it and it was down to 10 pounds! Its supposed to be filled to 35 lbs! UGH! Figures. My dad found there was a nail in the tire. So, I took it to Sears and had it fixed, but I was leaving 2 hours later than I planned. I was so mad!~I talked to Matt a few times to make sure I had plenty of time to beat them to Heather and Chris'. I did, but it was so aggravating! The guy at Sears said it was a roofing tire. A couple weeks ago we were looking at new houses being built in our neighborhood and thats where we got the nail.
I got to their house and there was around 40 people. Everyone was in the basement, but I had to feed Olivia so I sat upstairs. All the boys came in from golfing about 5 minutes after I got there. They saw me and Olivia. Chris (who loves kids) came over and was talking to her. They got him downstairs and everyone yelled SURPRISE! He was so surprised! I am so happy Heather pulled it off. Later on Chris came up to me and said "So, you were the instigator of this whole thing" meaning having the "jewelery party" and I said "Yep!" It was a lot of fun. We stayed 'til 9:30 and went back to my parents. I would have liked to stay longer, but it was past Olivia's bedtime and I wanted to get her to bed. I would have left her at parents for them to watch her, but there were a few people who never got to see or meet her and our friends Jeff and Abby saw her last when she was 2 weeks old! So, I wanted to take her.
It was so good to see everyone, we'll all be getting together again in a few weeks. Our friends are getting married in Providence, Rhode Island and were all going to the wedding. It will be my first time leaving Olivia, so please pray I will do ok without her! But after seeing everyone again lastnight made me feel a little more at ease in going. I've been really stressed out about it ever since we booked our flight! I told my friends Abby and Brandy they need to keep me occupied so I don't miss her so much!

Sorry about the nail in your tire but I am sure glad you made it in time for the surprise party!!! That sounded like alot of fun! Is lil O staying with your parents when you go to the wedding?? How long will you be gone?
Hey, don't forget to do the project for Amanda!
that party sounds really fun. don't stress too much about going without her. the hardest part will actually be leaving. i went to england for 10 days with some students when tanis was 6 months old. it nearly killed me to get on the plane, but after that, i was fine. of course, i called home every day, but otherwise it was okay.
I had fun getting our pedicures Saturday! We need to do that more often. I'm glad the party turned out fun but that sucks about your tire. You will be fine on your trip. The hardest part will be the actual leaving, but when you get there you'll be fine and it will go fast.
The flat tire sucks but I am glad you pulled the party off. It sounds like a lot of fun.
