Here are 13 things I've learned since becoming a mom. I am sure there are tons more, but this is what I came up with...not in any order.
1. 30 Hours of labor is not as bad as it sounds
2. Epidurals are WONDERFUL
3. There is no such thing as an "easy" baby
4. Changing poopy diapers means more than just a stinky mess. It means everything is functioning correctly.
5. I love feeding my daughter
6. Motherhood is the most challenging job, EVER!
7. Motherhood is the most rewarding job, EVER!
8. All the money in the world could not bring me as much happiness as seeing my baby smile at me everyday
9. Huckleberry IS just a dog
10. Having hardwood floors isn't as appealing now with a crawling baby
11. Life is precious
12. You can never describe just how much you love a little person you created until you experience it for yourself
13. I never thought I would love being a mom as much as I do. I can't put into words how awesome it really is.

I agree. Every one of those statements is 100% true. Well except Huck is just a dog. He is still part of the family. Wait until he becomes her dog, you'll lover him even more as she gets attached to him!! Good for you, I am glad you joined the Mommy club!!!
Those are all great things and so true!
I never thought of the hard wood floor thing. Good point!
I agree Cheryl, Huck is part of the family. I used to REALLY think of him as my baby...until Olivia was born! Its getting better. The first few months he really irritated me a lot, which I thought could never happen. But, I came to the realization I wouldn't die for him (I used to think I would)If I were to die for him, who would take care of Olivia!?
I completely agree with the floor thing! I loved your entire list. Motherhood is wonderful, even when they drive you bonkers!
Great Post!
I remember warning you about your feelings changing about Huck when you were pregnant......it totally changes your perspective on everything!!! I love my pets too but I certainly love my kids more!!!
i totally agree about the Hick thinga dn mine got worse and worse. Humans are just better period!
Ya, I agree with the pet thing too.
Our dog, Guido, was our everything until we had Jacob. My feelings did change towards her. I feel bad but that's how it is. We still treated her great it just felt different. Our perspectives changed. That's all.
