I am soooo excited about dinner tonight! I have not cooked in such a long time, that I am really looking forward to getting down and dirty with the kitchen! I had a friend over a couple weeks ago and she looked in my oven and said "Wow, you either clean really good, or your oven never gets used!" Granted, it is only a year old since the house is new, but one might think I never cook!
This is my menu for the evening:
For Starters: Caesar Salad
Main Course: Pork Chops, potato things (a nurse from work made them for us and brought them to us right after Olivia was born so I am using her recipe) and corn bread. I might make myself some green beans, but its alot of food so I don't know if I'll be ready for green beans too!
For dessert: Peanut Butter Pie (mmmmm....tasty!) Its already made (I made it myself, and its chilling in the freezer)
My mom is coming over tonight and staying the night because she is watching Olivia for us tomorrow (Matt has to go to work early) so I am excited for her to eat with us!
I am about to start boiling the water for the potatoes and get this party started!!!
The first time I made mashed potatoes I just thought I had to peel the potatoes and put them in the mixer, I didn't know you had to boil them first. So, I threw the potatoes in the mixer (with some milk) and potatoes started flying all over the place! I didn't know what was wrong! I didn't figure it out until a couple days later I was telling Stacie about it at work and she told me I was supposed to boil the potatoes first! OH WELL!!

oh that is hilarous. It is something i would have done too. I do not "get" cooking like most people do. I can handle it but it is much better when people who "get" it do it. God intended me just to look beautiful and not cook...
You could always go that route if you needc too, otherwise, good luck.
