We just got back from Olivia's doctor's appointment. Poor thing wore herself out after her shots and she is sleeping soundly now. She weighs 12 lbs 3 oz and is 24 1/4 inches long. She is in the 31% for her weight and 51% for her height. Her doctor said she is nice and lean and her growth is very good. He told me its up to me when I want to introduce solids to her, she is starting to show a little interest in food. He gave me a brochure/guide to introduce solids. Guess I'll read over it and decide. I've always "heard" that once a baby shows interest in food ie looking at my food or grabbing it or something that is a sign to start on solids. So, I don't know, I may try to wait a little longer just because she is just now starting to watch me when I eat. She hasn't grabbed for my food or anything...anyone have any suggestions? I guess it doesn't matter, but I am looking forward to feeding her solid foods!!! I think its going to be fun!
When her doctor was examining her (well, about to examine her) she rolled over for him! I told him she just wants to show him that she can do it!!
I HATE the shots though, I wish I could make shots feel like kisses! But I LOVE to hold her after its all done, even though she is screaming her head off, I like to feel her close to me. She is starting to grab everything now! I was at Panera Bread with Amy from work and Olivia grabbed my plate and pulled it across the table! Luckily I was quick and she didn't spill anything, but boy oh boy is she becoming quite the personality! Blowing bubbles thru her mouth and squealing and cooing and laughing. She's my little sweetheart.

Poor baby. Feeding them solids is fun, at first. Until they learn to spit it. Fun stuff.
